Low Carbon (Mild) Steel Strip

Less than 0.2% carbon content

Low carbon mild steel strip can only be hardened by cold working.
Some low carbon mild steel strip can be case hardened for a harder surface.
High Carbon (Spring) Steel Strip
BS EN 10132-4

More than 0.2% carbon content

High carbon steel strip is available

Annealed and as rolled for hardening after forming or blanking
Mill hardened and tempered metal strip.
