17-7 PH (Precipitation Hardening) Stainless by Knight Strip Metals Ltd

17-7 PH (Precipitation Hardening) Stainless

Engineering

As the name implies, precipitation hardening stainless steel strip is hardened by heat treatment.

Precipitation hardening stainless steel strip has a semi-austenitic structure in the solution annealed condition at room temperatures being mainly austenite with some ferrite.

When temper rolled and heat treated (or by more complex heat treatment directly) there is a transformation to the high strength martensitic form.

High Performance Metal Strip
Mechanical properties are excellent at ambient temperatures and good at elevated temperatures.

Corrosion performance is better than martensitic stainless steels.

Special Properties – Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steel Strip
Precipitation hardening stainless steel strip has good stress relaxation and fatigue properties.
