ELASTOCON AB in Sweden launch three new instruments for polymer testing.

Elastocon have introduced the EB30, a new low cost Hot Set Tester for the determination of Hot Set according to IEC 60811-507. Measurements are made through a window using a laser pointer so that the samples are not disturbed during the test. Calculations can be made manually or via a Bluetooth connected caliper linked to spreadsheet software in a PC.

The new EB30 tester supplements the more comprehensive Hot Set tester, the EB16-II, which conforms to the more exacting cable specification IEC 811-2-1, which has been in production for some time.

New Apparatus for determining volume resistivity of conductive and semi-conductive rubbers.

Measuring volume resistivity on conductive and semi-conductive rubber materials calls for a variety of different apparatus to suit the different types of material.  Elastocon have introduced two new instruments for the determination of volume resistivity of either conductive or semi-conductive rubbers in accordance with either ISO 1853 or IEC 60502-2 respectively.
