Calcium Fluoride – CaF2

Optical Material used for lenses, windows, prisms, mirrors and filters transmitting from the vacuum ultraviolet into the infrared.

A Lens is an optical device with perfect or approximate axial symmetry which transmits and refracts light, converging or diverging the beam of light.

Material Specification:

Physically and chemically stable optical material
Good water and chemical resistance.

Two qualities are manufactured:

Visible and Infrared applications
Specifically for Ultraviolet applications grown from chemically pure powder.

Typically applications include:

VUV – UV – IR imaging systems,
Excimer laser windows,
Spectroscopic windows and lenses,
Optical Analysers,
ATR crystals
