The CMA CGM Rossini ship lost 14 containers overboard off Ushant in strong winds and large swells, 2 days ago. The ship was heading to Port Said in Egypt from Le Havre. The French maritime officials were informed and a team was formed immediately to find the lost containers. CMA CGM Rossini's lost cargo did not cause pollution and it is known that there are no injured people during the incident. CMA CGM is communicating with the French maritime authorities all the time to discover what caused the incident. The good news is that the 14 lost containers do not contain dangerous cargo. Some of the cargo was saved because of an aircraft that was sent to the location of the lost containers. CMA CGM Rossini is now heading to the Mediterranean. The French-flagged cargo ship (haz-a) has IMO number 9280639 and MMSI 226327000. CMA CGM Rossini was built in 2004 and has width: 277m, height: 40m and draught 14.5m.
