New METCASE Website for Electronic Enclosures

World-class manufacturer METCASE has launched a new website – making it quicker and easier to specify standard and customised metal enclosures for electronics.

The new website – https://www.metcase.co.uk – is built on a large and powerful database that shows all the options and accessories available for each model.

It features a smart basket system to help OEM electronics designers and manufacturers choose from METCASE’s wide range of 19 inch rack mount cases, instrument enclosures, desktop and wall mount enclosures.

The basket system allows users to drill down through the range quickly to find the models and sizes they need. It offers swift access to technical data; purchasing data; suitable system components; drawings (pdf, dwg) and further information.

All the enclosures feature 3D models in STEP, SAT and x_t formats so customers can see how their electronics will look in the finished housing. Many pages also feature videos with exploded views of the cases.

Accessories are displayed alongside the individual enclosures at the point of specification and also collectively on their own dedicated page. They include 19 inch front panels (1U, 2U, 3U, 4U, 5U, 6U), front panel handles (1U-6U), tilt/non-tilt enclosure feet (12 x 12 x 6 mm, ø 13 x 5 mm), PCB mounting kits and PCB guides (102 mm, 216 mm).

Customisation options include CNC milling, drilling, punching and folding; internal mounting plates and brackets; powder finishing, wet painting and anodising.

METCASE also offers digital printing of photo quality graphics, legends and logos on to either front panels or complete enclosures. Different surface textures are no problem and – unlike traditional printing methods – there are no expensive set-up costs.

Fully bespoke enclosures can be created from standard case components such as diecastings and extrusion profiles or from fully fabricated sheet metal components.
