Advanced NDT Ltd are pleased to announce the release of a new UV LED Light to its range of UV Lights & Torches.
The Labino® BigBeam UV LED Cable Winder (the latest addition to the popular BigBeam series) is an inspection light based on UV LED Technology. Operated via mains power supply connected to a cable winder it has a reach of 9.5 meters fully extended from the winder drum.
The Labino BigBeam UV LED Cable Winder has a unique safety latch that keeps the wire stable and allows the user to carry out the inspection without resistance. The cable drum which has smooth running due to high quality bearings features a ‘snap-on’ wall bracket for easy mounting.
At a distance of 380mm the Labino BigBeam Floodlight version has an initial intensity of approximately 3,500 µw/cm² with a uniform beam diameter of 250mm. The Midlight version has an initial intensity of more than 6,000 µw/cm² with a uniform beam diameter of 200mm. These large, even illumination areas, make rapid inspection of large components quicker and more reliable than scanning with a smaller beam.
The UV LED Life expectancy is approximately 30,000 hours. These units have instant-on operation with immediate full power. The hand-held unit weighs only 1.2kgs and is sealed to IP65 in a robust anodized aluminium housing. The Labino BigBeam UV LED is 100% free from UV-B and the diodes emit almost no visible light.
All of these features make this latest addition a very useful NDT tool.
The BigBeam Range is now also available in the new Helios version. The Helios has all the same great features as the standard BigBeam range but with higher UV intensities. The BigBeam Helios Floodlight has an output at 38cm of 5,000 µw/cm² with a uniform beam diameter of 250mm. The BigBeam Helios Midlight version has an intensity of 8,000 µw/cm² with a uniform beam diameter of 200mm.
