NEW ISonic 2010 PHASED ARRAY INSTRUMENT

Advanced NDT Ltd is pleased to announce the release of the Isonic 2010 Phased Array Ultrasonic Flaw Detector

Portable Phased Array Ultrasonic Flaw Detector.

Although small and portable, the Isonic 2010 Phased Array Ultrasonic Flaw Detector is loaded with features to assist the operator and produce high quality records.

Key features include:

32:32 phased array electronics with independently adjustable emitting and receiving apertures.

The gain may be automatically adjusted to compensate for variations across the transducer, gain variations at different refracted angles etc to ensure a uniform testing sensitivity over the area scanned.

Image Guided Ray Tracing to help procedure set up.

The test object profile may be imaged to show the coverage of the proposed scan and ensure the best set up to detect all potential defects.

Weld Profile Overlays to display the defect position in the weld.

This is used to assist the operator interpret the defect signals and record them in a manner easier for his customers.

Skip Corrected images.

Instead of presenting the second half skip upside down under the main image, the Isonic 2010 inverts it to present the defect in the correct position and orientation.

Multi Group scanning and imaging using just one probe.

The test set ups to cover different areas of a structure and use different techniques for various types of defect etc may now be run together during one scan to simultaneously produce several different images. This ensures the optimum coverage with extra information on the defects detected  

Encoded and Timed scanning.

Produces Top (C- scan) Side End Views and 3-D imaging views of the scanned areas.

Conventional UT channel.

A conventional UT channels is provided for regular A-scans, B-Scan Thickness profiles, B-scan defect imaging, projection C-scans (for inaccessible areas), TOFD, DAC DGS and TCG, FFT signal analysis.

The Isonic 2010 Phased Array Ultrasonic Flaw Detector complements the ISonic 2009 UPA Scope Phased Array Ultrasonic Flaw Detector full function 64 channel phased array instrument and the ISonic PA AUT 256 channel systems unit  for on line phased array testing.
