The LINAK Desk Panel DPG1C has received a prestigious 2018 Red Dot Award for its intuitive design in the “Product Design” category.

 

The Desk Panel DPG1C has been awarded the Red Dot Award, the official seal of the internationally renowned Red Dot Design Competition.

 

In 2018, designers and manufacturers from 59 countries submitted more than 6,300 objects to the competition. The stringent evaluation criteria include the innovation level of the submitted product, the functionality, the formal quality, ergonomics and the product life.

 

Awarded for product design and functionality 

For LINAK it is a special honour to receive this award. Functionality was a key factor when developing the Desk Panel DPG. The goal was to use the design to motivate users to make even better use of their sit-stand desks. 

 

As a result, the Desk Panel DPG combines unique features such as intuitive handling without the use of buttons, motivating reminder functions through an integrated LED light strip, a memory position function for the user’s favourite desk heights and app connectivity via integrated Bluetooth® wireless technology.

 

International Red Dot jury voted for the DPG Desk Panel

The "Red Dot Award: Product Design" has roots dating back as far as 1955. Since then, this annual award has been given to the best products of the year. True to the motto: “In search of good design and innovation“, an international jury of around 40 members judged the products on individuality and originality. 

 

The official nomination of the Red Dot Award winners will take place at the Red Dot Gala on 9 July 2018 in Essen, Germany – home of the Red Dot Design headquarters. The 2018/2019 Red Dot Design Yearbook, comprising all the winning products of the year, will be published at the same time. The products will also be presented in the online exhibition, the Red Dot App, and the online design portal: “Red Dot 21”.
